1. Managing key resources:

Your direct reports will be highly skilled employees located in Denmark & Hungary.
Their skills will be primarily based on Azure Cloud wherefrom they will have various areas of focus. I.e. Data, IoT, DataWarehousing, Integration & Microservices, Web (Umbraco), Mobile (Xamarin), Product Information Management (Strive PIM) etc.
All resources will be a part of an agile team where the Product Owners are prioritizing tasks and the Scrum Master is facilitating the work.
Your responsibility will be making sure that employees and teams have the optimal conditions to work and to ensure that the work given to the agile teams are aligned and prioritized with stakeholders before the teams start building it.

2. Facilitate and mature the scaled agile way of working:

In Nilfisk we have begun a scaled agile way of working and as the Director of Digital & Data you will have the leading role in ensuring and maturing that journey. Specifically, you will be taking the role as Release Train Engineer and facilitate the quarterly Big Room Planning sessions. As an experienced professional with scaled agile you will act as coach when teams or senior management need extra attention and coaching. Thus, your role will be instrumental in the implementation of an agile understanding and mindset in Nilfisk, in general – not only in your teams.

3. Management alignment:

To ensure that we are doing the right things, it is important to align expectations to future business needs and the current operation or exploratory innovation with peer’s in all functions.
If you identify areas that are challenging to the agile ways of working, you constructively align with the relevant managers to improve synergy and business outcomes.
Improving the Nilfisk way of working in a scaled agile manner, it is your responsibility in terms of communication and facilitation to other managers in Nilfisk.

Main responsibilities

Agile Coach

• Develop and implement new agile ways of working across Nilfisk
• Support teams and senior management in new ways of working in a continuous manner

RTE

• Support the maturation of portfolio management to include DevOps teams
• Facilitate Big Room Planning on a quarterly basis

Head of Digital & Data

  • People management
  • Ensure that Nilfisk continues to be a great place to work for your employees
  • Ensure that you have the best possible employees for the tasks at hand
  • Ensure that your employees have the competencies and tools needed and the path to grow their competencies to what is required
  • Administrative tasks to ensure that your employees can focus on creating value
  • Facilitate and promote a mindset of cross-functional collaboration and business outcome orientation
  • Implement the new operating model with your employees in Denmark & Hungary and refine it continuously

Stakeholder management

o Collaborate with managers in other functions to define visions, manage expectations and contributions
o Collaborate with architects and managers to implement the changes to realize Nilfisk vision and implement changes efficiently
o Collaborate with administrative functions such as finance, procurement and portfolio management to ensure optimal utilization of assets, resources to optimize value creation and cost efficiency
o Earn a role as a trusted partner to your colleagues

Implement new solutions and the operation of these

  • Implement new ways of working that will create viable solutions and minimize non value adding effort
  • Validate plans and the resources needed
  • Support teams and senior management in the development and implementation of new solutions be that technology or ways of working
  • Be a role model of the aspired change and mindset
    Support all relevant areas to ensure agreed outcome of sprints and Planning Increments

Qualifications & Skill

Must have requirements

  • Scaled agile experience
  • Leadership experience
  • DevOps experience
  • Scrum master experience
  • Large company experience
  • Cross-functional technology development
  • Digital and/or data foundation experience
  • Managing a nearshoring setup

Personality/Competencies

You have experience from large preferably global companies, and you have a strong drive to make a positive difference.

You are extremely skilled in executing a plan and do it without compromising your personal integrity, and you set pride in delivering on your promises.

You are very experienced as an agile coach and scrum master. You have both good and bad experiences with scaled agile that forms your open outset on what works and what doesn’t.

You are humble in your approach and you acknowledge the context in large organizations where you make an effort in meeting your stakeholders in their current beliefs and perceptions.

Your motivation is fuelled by cross-functional collaboration with the aim of creating value, and your passion is highly inspirational to your colleagues.
